In May 2026, Sishun Umbrella (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. — Topumbrella's Cambodia production facility — completed its initial Intertek Global Security Verification (GSV) audit, achieving an overall score of 86%. That places us in the Low Risk Priority tier and above both the global average (84%) and the industry average (83%) on our very first assessment.

For procurement managers and brand buyers sourcing umbrellas for the US market, this matters. Below is a plain-language breakdown of what GSV certification covers, what our audit found, and what it means when you place an order with us.

What Is GSV — and Why Do US Importers Care?

The Global Security Verification (GSV) program is an Intertek-administered supply chain security standard that aligns with three major international frameworks:

Framework Administered By Benefit for Importers
C-TPAT US Customs and Border Protection Expedited clearance and fewer inspections at US ports
PIP Canadian Border Services Agency Reduced border delays for Canada-bound shipments
AEO European Union (REACH) Simplified customs procedures across EU member states

When your supplier is GSV-verified, you are sourcing from a factory whose physical security, shipping procedures, personnel vetting, and cargo integrity have been independently audited on-site by a third party. For US importers working toward C-TPAT membership — or sourcing for retailers like Walmart and Target that require C-TPAT-aligned security verification — a GSV-verified manufacturer simplifies your vendor approval process significantly.

What the Auditors Verified On-Site

The Intertek auditor conducted a full on-site inspection of our Cambodia facility. Key verified points relevant to buyers:

Container & Cargo Integrity

Every outbound container undergoes a 7-point inspection by security staff before loading. Goods are loaded under supervision of both security personnel and a facility representative. Seal numbers are recorded in dispatch gate notes, photographed at each stage, and printed electronically on the bill of lading. We use ISO 17712-compliant high-security seals and follow full VVTT seal verification. All shipments travel directly to port monitored by GPS via our logistics partner Victory Logistic Co., Ltd.

Facility Security Infrastructure

Our 2,500 sqm Cambodia facility operates with 19 CCTV cameras covering all sensitive zones — packing area, finished goods warehouse, loading bay, and main gate — plus 3 security guards on 24/7 rotation. The building is concrete and steel construction, with perimeter fencing inspected and documented in the audit.

Personnel & Access Controls

All 92 employees carry ID badges. Visitor management includes a dedicated visitor card system and separate parking. Computer systems are password-protected. Background screening procedures are in place for all staff.

Shipping Documentation

The auditor reviewed our full shipping document chain — commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and container inspection records — and confirmed compliance with all procedural security requirements.

What This Means When You Source From Us

Supply chain security has moved from a compliance checkbox to a sourcing requirement. Major US retailers now require vendors to demonstrate C-TPAT-aligned security verification before vendor approval. Our GSV certification gives procurement teams documented, third-party evidence across four critical areas:

Verified Cargo Integrity: Your goods leave our facility sealed, photographed, and GPS-tracked to port — with full documentation available on each shipment.

Independent Third-Party Audit: Our facility has been audited by Intertek against C-TPAT, PIP, and AEO criteria — not self-declared compliance.

Above-Average First-Audit Performance: 86% on our first-ever GSV assessment — above global (84%) and industry (83%) averages. This is not a facility that prepared only for the inspection.

C-TPAT Member Support: For US importers who are themselves C-TPAT members, sourcing from a GSV-verified supplier like Topumbrella Cambodia directly supports your own program requirements and reduces your exposure to supply chain security risk reviews.

About Our Cambodia Facility

Sishun Umbrella (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. is located at Canadia Industrial Park, Kampong Speu Province, Cambodia, registered January 2025. The Cambodia facility offers the same OEM customization capability, certification infrastructure, and quality control standards as our China operation — with the added benefit of flexible country-of-origin documentation.

The Cambodia facility currently holds or is in process for: GSV (Intertek), Higg FEM, and SLCP VRF — a compliance stack designed to meet the vendor approval requirements of major global brands and US retailers.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Intertek GSV certification and how does it relate to C-TPAT?

Global Security Verification (GSV) is an Intertek-administered program that independently verifies a manufacturer's supply chain security practices against the criteria of C-TPAT (US), PIP (Canada), and AEO (EU). A GSV-verified supplier has been audited on-site by Intertek across 12 security categories covering cargo integrity, physical security, personnel controls, and shipping documentation. For US importers who are C-TPAT members, sourcing from a GSV-verified supplier directly supports their own program obligations.

What score did Topumbrella Cambodia achieve in the GSV audit?

Sishun Umbrella (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. achieved an overall score of 86% in its initial Intertek GSV audit conducted on 18 May 2026, placing us in the Low Risk Priority tier. This is above the global average of 84% and the industry average of 83%. Seven of the twelve categories scored 100%: Risk Assessment, Cyber Security, Seal Security, Conveyance & International Traffic Security, Agricultural Security, Physical Access Controls, and Personnel Security.

Can I source Cambodia-origin umbrellas from Topumbrella to reduce US tariff exposure?

Yes. Our Cambodia facility manufactures the same OEM custom umbrella programs as our China operation, with Cambodia-origin documentation available. For US importers managing tariff exposure under current US-China trade policy, Cambodia-origin production offers meaningful cost advantages. Contact our team to discuss country-of-origin options for your specific program. See our FAQ page for general sourcing information.

How are outbound containers secured and tracked from the Cambodia facility?

Every outbound container undergoes a 7-point inspection before loading. Goods are loaded under joint supervision of security personnel and a facility representative. ISO 17712-compliant high-security seals are applied, with seal numbers photographed and recorded at each stage and printed on the bill of lading. All shipments travel directly to port monitored by GPS via our logistics partner, Victory Logistic Co., Ltd. This process was fully verified by the Intertek auditor and contributed to a 100% score in Seal Security.
